A Personal Project

It’s a vulnerable thing, sharing your life on the internet.

I was a teenager as Myspace, Bebo and Facebook were the place to be, and back then I didn’t think twice about posting images online, and I never really thought how I would be seen by others. It was just fun.

These days I’ve done a 180. I’m really cautious about what I share online, and honestly a bit fearful of it too. A lot of the fear comes from perfectionism, but no one I know is perfect and I wouldn’t want them to be. Therefore…

For the first few months of this year I have been working on a new project…

…this time turning my lens introspectively. I’ve done a lot of self-portraits in the past, some make it online, many don’t, but this project was stepping outside of a simple self-portrait and using photography to explore self and my own journey. I’ve kept the initial part of the creation private, but it’s time to slowly get it out there.

For now I am sharing two images with you as a teaser. They are only a small part of the project, I hope to introduce you to it fully at some point in the future.

It’s a project that is really personal. Sometimes it makes me feel proud and brings me a grounded sense of belonging. Sometimes a bit of me wants to run away from it.

Either way, thank you for reading! I hope to see you when it’s fully announced.
