A series of images celebrating some of the fabulous inhabitants of The Spring!

In the summer of 2022, Play Artist in Residence, Rachel Fullegar, collaborated with photographer Jasmine Aurora to curate a play project that culminated in the series of photographs on display this spring in the Sadler Gallery. Rachel wanted to show how crucial the local community and in-house team is to the personality of The Spring, by celebrating their playfulness, creativity and strength. Inspired by Karoline Hjorth and Rita Ikonen’s Eyes as Big as Plates photo series, in which a diverse range of inhabitants were photographed within beautiful Nordic landscapes, similarly Rachel and Jasmine set out to show the personalities of those who enjoy visiting or who work in The Spring, all shot within the familiar spaces of the building. It is clear that each individual gives The Spring a sense of identity, making it the vibrant and welcoming place we all know and love. We hope you enjoy getting to know the people of the building through these images.
